The EMX HAWK 2 motion sensor utilizes K band microwave technology, similar to radar, to detect moving objects. The HAWK 2 motion sensor can be installed up to 20 feet high and can cover an area up to 100 square feet. The range and sensitivity of the HAWK 2 can also be simply adjusted right on the sensor itself. The HAWK 2 does have the capability of controlling one device. To add additional devices or exiting devices you will have to add a PanicExitPro.com “nucleus” device.
The HAWK 2 is compatible with both 12v and 24v powering options. PanicExitPro.com have available a few 12v powering options: Sentry E. Labs Transformer or Sentry E. Labs Transformer with Battery backup.
The HAWK 2 is typically used in automatic door systems. In these type of systems utilize 2 of the Hawk 2s to control both the entering and exiting of a property. These sensors generally get paired up with a automatic door opener. However, the HAWK 2 can be paired up with a “nucleus” device and be used as a exiting device. The “nucleus” device is the center point of any door access system. It controls both the entering and exiting of a secure door. These devices are noted by a “nucleus” logo in the product photo and can include:
The EMX HAWK line of motion sensors use K band microwave technology to detect the presence of moving objects. These sensor operate similar to a radar. They send out a microwave, which bounces off of an object. The sensor detect the returning wave and calculates the speed at which it returned. The speed of the wave allows the HAWK 2 to determine if the object is stationary or coming toward or away from the sensor. The HAWK 2 can detect objects moving away from the sensor or approaching the sensor. The HAWK 2 is also capable of being set to detect both directions.
