Sentry E. Labs Electromagnetic Door Holder with Emergency Release

Electromagnetic door holders are commonly used with fire- and smoke-rated doors that are equipped with fire-rated door closers and fire-rated panic bars. Because fire-rated panic bars cannot be equipped with dogging devices, an electromagnetic door holder provides a reliable way to keep the door open during normal operation while allowing it to close automatically in the event of a fire.

The Sentry E. Labs electromagnetic door holder can be connected to a fire alarm or other alarm system using either a Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) signal. When the alarm signal is activated, power to the electromagnetic holder is interrupted, allowing the door closer to automatically close the door. The unit also features a manual override button on the magnet, allowing users to manually release the door and interrupt power to the holder when needed.

• Fail safe: When loss of power occurs the lock will release allowing the door closer to shut the door.
