The Sentry E. Labs 2086GL frameless glass door drop bolt lock is available for both right and left hand swing doors. Please select the appropriate drop bolt kit for your door in the drop down menu above. The 2086GL has a built in time relay that will allow to set the amount of time the lock will remain unlocked. This drop bolt lock installs on top of the frameless glass door and acts a as a deadbolt. The lock base that attaches to the door will accept glass doors up to 12 mm thick and the drop bolt units will also accept glass panes up to 12 mm thick or can be recessed into the surrounding frame of the door.

The 2086GL drop bolt lock can be powered by a 12v DC power source. This is a very efficient design that uses an induction magnet to extend the magnet to the locked position. This unit will not get hot during extended usage.

The Sentry E. Labs 2086GL is a fail-safe designed drop bolt lock. When power is lost the drop bolt is retract back into the locking unit. Fail-safe locks are appropriate for interior doors where in the case of an emergency a loss of power will not trap people in their offices. This lock uses a normally closed dry contact to release the drop bolt. To unlock the door these accessories can be used to communicate with the locking unit.

These accessories do not require the use of an additional control unit between the lock and the above mentioned accessories. To use multiple devices, you must wire these devices in series. These control accessories can activate multiple locks.

There is a built in sensor in the bolt lock unit of the 2086GL. This sensor is used to determine if the bolt is currently engaged or disengage. Once the sensor looses contact with the lock base, the bolt will remain retracted to the door being in the unlocked position.

In the locked position power is being used as the drop bolt is extended. A control device such as a Keypad will interrupt the the signal between the power source and locking device, and the drop bolt will retract. The built in time relay on the locking unit can be set to 0, 2.5, 5, and 9 seconds. During this period the time the lock will remain retracted an the door can be opened. Once the door is opened the drop bolt will remain retracted due the built in sensor in the locking unit not communicating with the locking base. Once the sensor is detected by the bolt lock unit, the bolt will be energized and extend back out.
